The ABC game would be a good time to announce the ROY and/or the All WNBA teams

If they don't do it soon, they may run out of time.

MGM tweeted out that Aja won ROY. Makes me think it'll be announced during the game tomorrow.

Maybe they'll give Wilson the RotY award before tip-off of one of the games in Tenerife. I'm available to present for a small fee. |

They were saying it a lot during the US - Canada game tonight.

Would be curious to know what other rookies got votes for the All-Rookie team. Canada? Nurse? Williams?

To me, Nurse and Vivians are the other primary candidates. But Williams started all season and got a (bizarre) vote for DPotY, and Canada got a 6th Woman vote, so I suppose both are possible. Different voting panels, though. |

Well, that makes official what was all but a formality already: for only the second time in her career, Angel McCoughtry was completely shut out of all postseason honors and awards. The only other time that happened was in 2012, when she was snubbed by voters after the blowup between her and Marynell Meadors that led to Meadors being fired.

I am outraged over that, even if the voters accounted for Maya playing for arguably the worst coach/GM in the league, as Maya would probably have been an MVP candidate this season if she played for a real, legitimate WNBA team instead.
Also, Sue Bird should've been at least 2nd team guard.

Sloot has been better then Bird this season so im 100% fine with that. Diggins had a good season and put up some nice scoring and assist stats so i can understand that choice

This was Skylar's 3rd season with at least 17 PPG and 5 APG. Only 5 players have had seasons like that in WNBA history - Cooper, Hammon, Taurasi twice each, Cappie once.

Tiffany Hayes was actually doing an Instagram live when the All-WNBA teams were announced, so viewers were the ones who told her about it.
Is she the first player who didn't make the All-Star team (in seasons with an ASG) that made 1st team?

Pilight, where does the three to see stack up in terms of All WNBA honors compared to the top 3 picks in other years?

I think I saw a picture of her getting it in DC at the Team USA practice or game.
