Sparks win this game by 8-14 points.
Parker/Ogwumike will win the battle in the paint......Beard/Carson will keep Toliver/Atkins in check.....Sims/Lavender will score 16-22 pts off the bench.

Itâs really not a great matchup for the Mystics.
Candace matches up with Delle Donne (one of two Players in The league that can). And Beard can make Toliverâs life hell. Meanwhile, they donât have anyone to match up with Chelsea.
This is, of course, if the Sparks team decides to show up.

The Mystics just beat the Sparks five days ago. They also won in LA in a game where EDD was held to 11 points. They'll be fine.

| Mystics playoff games at the Smith Center are selling tickets are general admission. $15 each. Would be a shame if they can't sell it out, though the early time might prohibit people from attending. For STH, I wonder if they got assigned seats close to the court?

Really not a great matchup for the mystics???!! This is not a great matchup for the sparks I think. They just played a rival basically down to the wire and now they have to fly to the east coast today and play a rested mystics team tomorrow. If they have no lega...this turns to a blowout quick in the mystics favor

| The Sparks should have fallen to the Lynx considering their vulnerable state. So whatever doesnât kill you makes you stronger. I suspect Parker and Ogwumike to have big bounce-back games. Will it be enough to override the Cloud 9 effect? Good question.

With Atkins we are.
And I disagree that this is a bad matchup for Mystics. There is no Fowles/Griner to dominate our soft frontcourt, and Beard has been much less effective at containing Toliver than last year. I also don't expect both Parker and Ogwumike to be close to 100% for this game.
BUT, the Mystics are probably a Toliver stinker away from getting eliminated so who knows.

If Parker and Ogwumike aren't 100%, the travel and the Mystics will make it a very tough game to win.
As I mentioned in another thread, coaching high school girls, I've had more experience with mono than I'd like, and the worst case was a strong, tough girl who was out five months -- and couldn't even go to school for two months.
Nneka might be able to bounce back, but the only cure is rest, and I don't think she's getting much on the commercial flight.
And if Parker has the flu or whatever, and it lingers, that pretty much does in the Sparks' frontcourt ...
