So, odds that Liberty get thrown a little luck their way and get the #1 pick? Or #2?

pretty hard to argue otherwise. They have been consistent in showing how terrible they are. #2 in 'terribleness' isn't quite as clear.

I would say New York "needs" it the second most.

Las Vegas doesn't need it at all. Chicago shouldn't, but does.

Las Vegas has had the last two No. 1 picks. If they when the lottery for a third consecutive year, I might be done with the league.

Would be surprised to know Indiana Fever have never had the #1 Pick. Shocked

It's hard to be bad enough for that when you've got Tamika Catchings

I am still torn on this I know NY needs size but if we were ranking WNBA impact and future stars of this class my list would be

Durr
Ogunbowale
KLS
Brown
McCowan

So maybe just landing at #4 and taking best available will play out more to our advantage than getting #1 going big and possibly being wrong both on which big to take, and long term impact. IDK?

Most of the elite players drafted go to the west.

So, you're hoping for bad luck because you have a contrarian view, but you think management has a conventional view even though you don't know who is making the decisions. Isn't this the very definition of overthinking? Smile

As Kara Lawson mentioned on Sunday, it's a deep draft with no clear #1 pick unlike the past few years. Top 5 that could all potentially go #1: McCowan, Brown, Ogunbowale, Durr and Samuelson.

NY aren't allowed to win the lottery, so their fans should be pleased with #2.

Indy on the other hand... Sad
