Stokes might also be injured. So she came home for some rest and will return to Turkey in a few weeks. Enables New York to keep 12 on their roster.

Is there evidence/reason to believe she’s injured?

Doesn’t matter who is on this team when the head coach doesn’t have a fucking clue on what shes doing

Stokes played more than ever in the Turkish finals. The player that sat for the last three games was Hartley. If anything I was half-expecting that Bria might be injured.

I’d be extremely happy to see Mitchell back with the Libs.

What is the source for this roster?

In this link:

https://liberty.wnba.com/news/new-york-liberty-waive-avery-warley-talbert/

Surprised Gray beat out Avery. But I’m super short clips she seemed to have a better mid range jumper than Warley. 12th player anyway so I suppose (hope) it doesn’t matter much.

Hartley/Bias/Boyd (if she’s injured)
Durr/Wright
Nurse/Allen
Charles/Raincock-Ekunwe/Gray
Zahui B/Han Xu

Though I guess with Zahui and her foul trouble and Xu inexperience we might see a lot more of Gray than I personally would like.

So, instead of announcing the final roster on the front page of the website or prominently on social media or even under the link called Roster, someone decides that the appropriate place is the Team News section within the announcement of AWT's cut?

HOW FUCKING CLUELESS!

Stokes suspended temporarily

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Katie's coaching and I can't watch Kiah. Sad

Also, this does not bode well for Kiah's future with the Liberty. I notice Hartley was not suspended, correct?

I would assume that Hartley's spot in France is guaranteed while Stokes has to beat out intrenched naturalized Turkish team player Hollingworth. I would also assuming Stokes gets a decent pay check bonus from Turkey if she makes the Turkish National team over Hollingsworth, so risking injury might not be in her best interest.

Ehat really gives me pause for NY's success this year is when Zahui b, Stokes, Hartley and Johannes are in Euro basket were looking at

Boyd/Bias
Durr/Wright
Nurse/Allen
Charles/Raincock-Ekunwe
Han/Gray

Yikes, or if we succeed with this line up we might see a very different team next year

I don’t think you have to concern yourself with that thought. Assuming no trades, which is what I’m assuming, they’ll probably bring AWT back too.

Hartley is apparently with the Libs.

On another note, Han is 6’9” 193. That should bode well for a matchup with McCowan. 😂

193 lbs is about 20 more than I expected from Han. She must have heavy legs. Reshanda Gray is probably here as the enforcer. If you watched the game against China on TV, they had a shot of her and Zahui behind the bench. At one point, Gray was sipping a drink. With her arm curled, Reshanda's bicep was huge -- football biceps!

When Stokes returns, can we cut Allen & keep Gray?

Time for all the Liberty fans who insisted that Reshanda Gray should be on the roster to step forward. (I didn't.)

Maybe it was a fluke. No definitive conclusions from one game (13 1/2 minutes). But what I saw from Gray tonight was better than I've seen from either Zahui B. or Stokes in a long while.

Agreed. Though I hope Zahiu B finds her game by next week.

One more night where I end up feeling really sad for Tina Charles.

32 1/2 minutes. 11 for 23 from the floor, 10 for 10 from the line, 12 rebounds, 32 points, and it wasn't enough. The other ten 10 Liberty players who were on the court combined to score 48 points.

Charles is beginning her 6th season for the Liberty. She's missed only three regular season games so far. She's always out there scoring, rebounding, giving her all. I fear this will be like Patrick Ewing: a great career in New York but no championship.

We write SO many comments here--I'm saying "we," I'm part of this--that don't even mention Charles. That praise or criticize other Liberty players, or coaches, or front office people, or owners. I feel we don't say enough what an outstanding player and terrific person she is.

Great game, Tina. As usual.

If only one of Zahui B, Boyd or Durr stepped up tonight, we would have won. Hopefully, we learn by our mistakes and win next Sat. in Indiana.

Gray was bad in the first half, great in the second. She was pretty much on the floor for the whole 18-2 run but ended up +7. So she was roughly -9 before that. Nonetheless, once Gray got hot and the team was rolling, why not ride it? That's the kind of intuitive decision that coaches have to make in-game. I don't know what Katie was thinking. The only player worse than Zahui was Wright (12:52 -14), and of course she was sent in on the last play.

Yes, kudos to Tina for once again shouldering most of the load. You do feel bad for her.
