Fever can still pick up Samuelson or Durr. They'll just have to stick with Achonwa and Alexaias their centers.

Congrats, Laimbeer......and the Liberty for #2.

Pokey and Stocks looked a little stunned, but it might have been their normal looks.

Not a terrible place to pick. Depending on what Ionescu does you can get an elite player here - Durr, KLS or a 6’7er.

I just don’t trust Pokey to make the right decision.

Agreed. If they want to prevent tanking, do a rolling 2 year record then. I think LV needed #1 the least. They have a GREAT core group and were almost in the playoffs.

At this point I think there are about 6 or 7 players that could be the best player in this class. At the end of the day, all four teams are getting future All-Stars. So, I’m not to worried about the outcome of this draft.

That being said, New York and Indiana needed it more.

Pokey was wishing for some gum to chew so she wouldn't cuss on national TV. She should be stunned. I just looked it up, the Eastern Conference has only had the #1 pick 7 times, 8 if you count Houston in 1997 since they were Eastern Conference that first year.
