This might be the last game the Liberty play. I haven't seen any movement in the ownership situation for the Liberty

It seems pretty clear from various vague statements made by Adam Silver and Lisa Borders that Hideous Lord Jimmy will continue to own the Liberty at least through next season. And that the Liberty will again play in 2019 in their minor-league facility in Westchester.

Yeah, seems like they'll be back in Westchester for 2019. Still should make for an uneasy offseason.

Question, will these espn3 games be on league pass either during or after the game?

Talbot got hit hard in the face early on. Not likely to return.

Taurasi got 2 early fouls as well. Mercury forced to go with Mitchell & Turner for most of the 1st quarter. Somehow it's tied at 27.

Nurse with 18 already. Charles just 1-5.
For Phoenix, Peters > Little.

No more threes plz...but nice to see some good minutes out of Peters. We’ll need it in the playoffs.

Need to put Bri/FLB on Kia, and pressure her dribble.

Two thoughts:
1) While I know Nurse has things to work on, this is why I was adamant that the offense should flow earlier through her. She makes things happen in multiple ways. While seeing her perform is nice, I feel like it should have happened much sooner.
2) Marissa Coleman reinforced my MVP vote in the awards thread while hurting her sixth woman chances. Those fadeaways were magnificent. I especially liked the one that landed closer to the baseline than the hoop.

In my view, you've been right about this all along.

Liberty are going to end the season on a 13 game losing streak. How depressing.

Well, at least they played hard till the end. I'm not overwhelmingly worried about the state of the team for next year. There was a Forbes article today about the Libs also that indicated the desire on everyone's part to keep the team in NY, though there was some ambiguity about where they would play. As well as ambiguity about ownership.

As of now, New York is operating under the assumption that the team will play at Westchester County Center next season, but Clarke noted it remains possible that the Liberty end up playing games at a different venue. “Any of these decisions of where the team is going to be next season is going to be up to new ownership,” Clarke said. |

Thanks for posting this article, but in my view the writer is far too inclined to take statements from MSG and MSG employees at face value. He is certainly right to include their statements in his piece. But, in my view, there is a long history which suggests that nothing from DolanWorld should be taken at face value. The writer only did half the job.

I agree. And everything we've heard indicates the team is staying in Westchester, besides that. The league wants...and probably needs...the team in New York. I don't foresee any type of sale being approved that moves the team out of the area.

Phoenix looks pretty primed for their one and done games. January is a big-game player, so that will only help. If they had Sancho I think they could go all the way. Even a Sancho that's 75-80% of what she once was would help them with the little things from the 4 spot.

Yeah - the loss of Sancho was huge for the Mercury. Their tailspin started when she went down.
