Turns out it's the Aces who have nothing to play for and the Dream that need the win. Everyone seemed to be expecting the opposite.

Itā€™s Fan Appreciation Night, so the best way to appreciate the fans is to do all you can do to give them a win.

I"m getting worried the Mystics will grab the second seed. Then again, without Angel - 3rd seed and a first game exit might be a more merciful outcome. Dream have never won a game in a 5 game playoff series. Sad W/O Angel this may not be our year for the playoffs anyway, but I don't think the players will give so I guess I shouldn't either.

So what are some SFs the Aces should be looking at in next year's draft?

They'll get either McCowan or Brown with their lottery pick. At #16 it's anyone's guess who Laimbeer will want.

Maybe Tynice Martin if she declares. Redshirted last season.

If Bone is the best they can do inside, they will be very happy to get Brown or McCowan...unless they get unlucky and miss the first two picks. Barring injury, this will be a team next year. Plus I think they may find a good FA since playing in Vegas for a team that seems to be well-supported by management could become a 'destination'.

Shouldn't they get Izzy back next season?

Is Las Vegas the only team without a representative in the #WatchMeWork campaign, or are they just somehow the only team who's commercial I haven't seen?

Actually, come to think of it, I don't think I've seen one for Phoenix, either.

Dream were +16 when Breland was on the floor. Be interesting to see whether they can hold on without her?

Will also be interesting to see how Thibault coaches the second half, if the Dream do hold on, since the outcome of this game will be known before the Mystics go back out for the third quarter.

Atlanta's Rope-A-Dope game is strong.

Can it last in a series though?

I don't know why it wouldn't: it's not like Atlanta relies on their offense to win games. A better question would be, can Atlanta win a series if they call it like tonight's game against the Aces was called?

Plus, a big part of why Atlanta's Rope-A-Dope game works is because they wear out teams that don't have deep benches... How many teams with shallow benches do you reckon are going to start playing more players in the playoffs?

Problem is our bench is now a lot thinner w/o Angel and Dantas who could be useful sometimes. But at least the Dream get to watch teams that used to be the Lynx and Sparks battle it out on Tuesday, after watching Megalon v. Godlizza before that. (Or is it Australien vs. Predator?)

Y'all's bench is super-thin, and I can't imagine a scenario in which Prince or Elonu get any real time in the playoffs. Fortunately for you, the players who do get in the game, with the exception of Breland, are all young, and everybody on the Dream's conditioning game appears to be on point.
