So Tuesday night the old guard teams, Las Lynx & LaLa, meets?
It will be interesting to see what roster changes the Sparks make for 2019. They need to increase both team defense and offense. |
Lets wait and see if PHX plays BG and DT ? They pretty much get to pick who they play.

How the hell are the sparks still in this one? Carson and sims coming up big right now. And of course Gray doing what she does. |
Connecticut has a weak bench |
How do you say that? Tuck in double figures. Banham hits shots. Clarendon is a fine back up. Normally Jonquel comes off the bench... |
Do people not understand that having an occasional good game doesn't disprove a statement like "the bench is weak"? When a player gets called "soft," and then they turn around and have a big game, that doesn't mean that they're not soft, it means that they're a soft player who had a big game.
Even with Tuck "exploding" for ten points, the five reserves who got in the game only combined for twenty, and had the same number of combined assists as turnovers. Aside from Jones (who should be starting), the Sun bench is pretty weak.

So does J. Jones win 6th woman despite starting 16 games this season? She technically qualifies. |
She had been pretty horrible the first half of the season |
I have a strong suspicion that that matters more to you than it will to the voters. Even among other RebKellians, you appear to be in the minority: the awards thread has 6WOY pretty evenly split between Jones and Cheyenne Parker, with only a handful of homer outliers.

My two cents, I think CT has a good bench which just doesn't need to play that many minutes most of the time. Plus, with Chiney being out, that moves a bench player, which has mostly been Jonquel, into the starting lineup.

I feel kinda bad for the Sparks, watching them play. Seeing injuries mess with the Libs the past few seasons, you can see that injuries have severely impacted LA too. Or maybe I should say "injury", since it may be only Nneka who is hurt. But my gut feeling is that Parker and Lavender aren't 100% physically either. One thing that separates the WNBA from most other pro leagues is the short season, mixed with the training camps that some players miss due to overseas commitments or injuries. It's actually kind of amazing that Minnesota and LA were able to play back-to-back finals against each other without this impacting either team. But it's a fickle sport when it comes to injury impact...and if you're missing a top 5 player in a league loaded with talent...you can't come back from it. Let's face it. This has been a team that in the past has played well at a high pace and now they can't even run. Between Nneka being hurt and the wear and tear on other players, it's a tough deal.

I don't know how often it has been done but the Sun this year swept both of last year's WNBA finalists (3-0 against LA, 3-0 against Minnesota)

Sun have a legitimate shot to win it this year. Nervous for their one game playoff though. They seem to choke under the lights. Hopefully they dont get PHX again .

Dracula playing her first-ever WNBA playoff game in Connecticut? That would not be good news for the home team.

Probably but my vote would go to the more consistent contributor of the 2.

You have a very stridently linear definition of consistent.
