As a Phoenix fan, who should I be rooting for? |
You could catch LA, but not Washington.

Will the refs ever call a foul on the Sparks? |
On the Sparks? I know I can't be the only person who sees both teams mugging the shit out of each other, with no calls either way? |
Yeah but the Sparks shoot free throws! |
That's because the Sparks are getting fouled at the rim.
Three-point field goals attempted: LAS-6 WAS-15. Jump shooting players/teams don't usually get free throws. |
EDD knocked to the floor on the last shot. No call. Case closed.
PEACE & LOVE GO MYSTICS!!!!! |
No way, That was a fall-away-trying to get a call.

Parker will be tossed for that...and Hawkins too. I know which one's absence will effect her team the most. |
Yep. CP3 pushed first. Tianna postured, but CP3 pushed. The tangle looked pretty even but I haven't seen all angles.

hmmm, well if that didn't deserve an ejection, not sure what does.

I disagree; in fact, I think it's a sign of good officiating. That wasn't the sort of thing that should decide a basketball game, which is what an ejection would have done. T 'em up, take some of their bread, and keep it moving.

Offsetting technical fouls for Parker and Hawkins. Guess the refs
couldn't throw Parker out so had to go with the T. |
Bias officiating.

Mystics have been my WNBA team since the Sting drafted Kelly Miller over Catch. I'm from L.A. but not a LaLeslie fan. However, I'm a BIG Chelsea Gray fan, so the Sparks are now my other favorite team.
Always interesting to see how I'll feel when the two teams play. Gut check says I want the Mystics to win, but it's hard to root against the Sparks. Very hard.
I was with the Sparks all the freaking way against the Lynx for the Championship, which was Chelsea's coming out party and the kickstart for Alana's re-energized game. I have LOVED how CP3's game has evolved - she changed her game and fed Nneka all day long to propel Nneka to MVP and Sparks' 'ship.
All that being said, I thought Candace should have gotten more punishment than Tiana for the dust up. CP3 initiated the physical contact after the horn. I thought Tiana rightfully did not back down. As I said before, I haven't seen all angles so maybe there was a little extra action during the disentanglement of those two.
I do not think the officials favored Candace because of any bias. They must have seen fairly equal involvement of both players.

I feel like there are twenty-one years of history to demonstrate that the Sparks are not to be trusted.
