I guess Miller will want some revenge after what happened in Chicago. He should focus on making his team better so that they can make a long playoff run.

13 more assists for Vandersloot to break the single season record. Can she do it today? Wink

Vandersloot missed the first four games of the season and should still clear the record easily. Shocked

A certain point guard is going to get PAID when her current contract is done.

The record was set in a 32 game season. She's got two games to get there if she wants to avoid an asterisk.

So is Sloot the best PG in the league?

I can see Miller right now giving his Sink the Bismark speech: "We must stop Vandersloot from getting a record in our house at all costs.""

Are there really people outside of Seattle (and maybe Dallas) who dispute this?

I consider Diggins to be the better player but to me there's a huge gap between these 2 and the rest,

If I had a choice to replace Whalen, it would easily be Sloot.
Sloot can score if that's what the defense gives them, but her primary focus is setting up her teammates, which I would prefer for the Lynx.

Perhaps, but I consider "Who is the better player?" and "Who is the better point guard?" to be two different questions.

For the second game in a row, Gabby Williams swishes a 3. Her 7th three of the season.

Chicago's defense is actually pretty decent today.

38-35 CHI at the half

Dolson 10 pts, 5 reb, 1 ast

CWill 13 pts, 3 reb, 1 stl

I believe it is okay to travel in today's game. I watched several players from both teams take extra steps, hops, and jumps without hearing the refs blow their whistle one time. Shocked

Sloot on a triple-double watch: 6 points, 5 assists & 4 rebounds.

Chicago can go from being in a game to it not being close very quickly. They lack a player who you can just hand the ball to and they give you some points from their athleticism and talent. Copper and DeShields have the athleticism, but their shots don’t seem to go down enough when they go one on one.

Edit: and then Chicago gets back in the game.

Chicago couldn’t pull it out, but they kept it to single digits. They have 15 double digit losses this year.

Chicago also needs a post player that can box out and get rebounds. Connecticut post players ate their breakfast, lunch, and dinner under the basket getting rebounds. All the Sky post players do is WATCH their opponents get offensive rebounds.

I'm not as critical of Stocks as my fellow Sky fans. But one thing that she has done that I just can't understand. Why did she sign Montgomery a veteran to play for her team and then not play her. It would have been cheaper to have a player that is still on her rookie contract versus signing an expensive veteran and then proceed to superglue her buttocks to the bench. Confused

I was confused as to why Sloot and Quigley both sat for 5+ minutes in the 4th quarter...

Los Angeles fans might also take exception.

Eh, I would discount Gray for the same reason why I would discount Diggins-Smith: better player and better point guard are not synonyms, in my opinion.

With this loss, Chicago has been officially eliminated from the playoffs.
