I remember the Dream looking their best a few years ago, when Sancho got lost for the season just after she returned from Euro-play. This sucks all the more.

I'm guessing the Dream end up as the #5 seed and get knocked out by Dallas

Yikes about Angel. I always want my Sparks to win but I NEVER want to hear about a season ending injury for any player.

I expect an inspired performance by ATL against the tired, and perhaps suddenly overconfident, Sparks.

Let's go Sparks!! This is a big opening and opportunity. Seize it!

If Notre Dame wins a National Title with, they way the media hyped it up, their entire team out with injuries, and the Eagles won a Super Bowl after their MVP-frontrunner QB tears his ACL, why can't the Dream win it all now, or are they exempt continuing that pattern?

Get well soon Lori Ann , this a big blow to the entire playoffs. If TIP Hayes wants to be a real MVP candidate this is her best chance to show it . Im not counting them out yet .

Well the Fever won the WNBA in 2012 with all kinds of injuries too. Except not to Catchings....

Don't go there, the WNBA doesn't allow free transfers Laughing

Wishing Angel a speedy recovery.

Damn. That’s two major injuries that likely put an end to their teams championship goals. Sucks for the dream, fans, and especially Angel. Hoping for a speedy recovery.

So sad to hear!! I thought the Dream had a good chance to win the ship. I feel for Angel with the season ending injury.

Maybe if the refs call the fouls on LA that they should the Dream might have a chance.

Even as a Sparks fan, I am very sorry to hear about Angel's injury. She has had a good season and has been a huge part of their successes. Praying for a speedy recovery.

That's clearly not going to happen. Nneka gets away with another face shot...

See that, Nneka hit Jessica in the face and no foul call. Even the commentators said the refs were looking right at it. That why I can't stand the Sparks! It is just sickening to watch them. Nneka is always hooking and hitting. Someone needs to do something about the refs! Sparks are
so used to getting away with fouls they commit that it just doesn't matter what they do.

To be fair, the refs have pretty much established hitting someone in the face isn't a foul all season long, regardless of team/players involved. Rolling Eyes

Dream commentators. Sparks commentators would have said it was a good no-call.

But it's looking like the Dream don't even need McCoughtry. Could they be better without her? Pilight usually asks that question.

With McCoughtry out I'm wondering who'll match up with Seattle best in the finals. Washington? Maybe Minnesota stands a chance now? Does Connecticut reemerge in the playoffs?

You are forgetting the accidental elbow that barely touched Brunson's face the other day when Tip got a fine. A league press release said it messed up Brunson's mascara so they had to fine Tip for it.

OTOH, when EDD hit tip in the face with an elbow it wasn't even a foul

If above the neck is a flagrant how can a hit in the face not be a foul. Really it just dependson who gets called for it. Had that been DT or BG it would have been a foul. Liz got someones arm across her throat which caused her to hit her head on the floor and it was just called a common foul. Funny how some teams can do whatever they want and others get called for every little thing. I've been watching the w since it's beginning but I am quickly losing interest.

Could they win this game without her? Sure. Could they hold onto the second seed without her? I mean, they still have the Liberty and the Aces, so if they win tonight, it's not going to take much more than that. Can they win the championship without her? I don't think that they can get to the Finals without her.

Bentley's been balling the last 4 games.

Acquiring Bentley is really starting to pay off...Especially with Angel going down.

Bentley is very hit or miss though. She’s playing pretty good the last couple games. It won’t last and then you’ll be saying you wished you had Clarendon back, who might not be the flashy scorer Bentley can be, but she’s a much better player and teammate to have on your team than Bentley. Atlanta traded her a few years ago for nothing in return for a reason.
