Golden State is winning!



But if ClayK is on Lacob’s WNBA advisory committee, he’ll most likely insist Lacob buy the Liberty instead of an expansion team, so that they’d more likely have a franchise player and win right out of the gate as much as the Liberty have this season. Make sure you get Katy Smith as part of the package!

I do think Lacob will have a team in the next 3-5 years. Worst case is he gets the Liberty (bad for the league to not have a team in NY). I'd love for the league to be at 16 teams by 2025. New York staying in New York, plus Golden State, Houston, Portland and Nashville/Memphis.

I don't know if the league is interested in going international, but I think Toronto would embrace a WNBA team.
