Notre Dame to Rome and Croatia.

Quote:
... the Irish will return to game action for the first time since winning the national championship, playing one game in Rome and two in Croatia.

Really not the greatest time of year to come to Sydney/Melbourne. They'll enjoy Cairns though.

I think any time you can have an all expense paid trip to Australia is a great time to go Smile. But yes I see your point too.

Notre Dame won its first game on the foreign tour beating the Italian All Stars 103-47. Even better news for the Irish, Brianna Turner led the way with 18 pts.

Italy seems to be a popular destination. Baylor is another school headed to Rome. Hawaii is now in New Zealand for two games then two or three games in Australia.

That's unfortunate, because teams are only allowed to take these European trips every four years (as I recall), and they are a chance to get in several extra weeks of practice. This would have been especially valuable to Whalen in her first year.

Kentucky Wildcats, save for incoming frosh Rhynn Howard who is in Mexico with USA18, are in Italy. Currently 1-1 in competition.
