Oh i would like to add an example of play that usually goes unnoticed, especially in the stats box. Gray drew 3 offensive fouls in this last game. That's turnover and a foul on an imposing player. She has always been good at drawing offensive fouls. This comes from spacial recognition which plays a major part in the game of basketball. That ability allows her to recognize and quickly process both space and moving players in relation to that space. This is a skill set that is invaluable on both offense and defense. An obvious result is when you draw and offensive foul, but what is less obvious is the advantage it gives in respect to the rest of the game. The lack of that skill is why very quick and speedy players often get beat on defense and are not able to maximize the potential of their physical abilities.on offense.
