So sick of watching Diamond just stand in the corner on offense.

I thought it was a great substitution by Katie to put Kiah Stokes in when she did. The Liberty were getting killed on the defensive glass, and Kiah is our best defensive rebounder. However, they're getting killed even with her: the Sky have had 4 or 5 offensive rebounds with Kiah on the floor.

Yeah the defense is helping and scrambling. It’s leaving people unattanded. The Libs are switching on just about any screen in the middle of the floor. When the Libs’ D switched on every screen last year, this whole scrambling and helping thing with offensive rebounding being a problem...wasn’t happening. But when we’ve seen Kiah be physically able, she can defend guards on the perimeter. So can Tina.

Libs with 26 points in the paint. They’ve already attempted two free throws.

That was, by far, the best half Brittany Boyd has played this year. 4 for 4 on layups!!! Great defense too. Sugar Rodgers hitting some shots as well. This is what Liberty fans were hoping these players would deliver more often than has been the case.

The defense went away halfway through the first quarter. It seems like the Liberty came out switching on defense frequently and energetically. It appeared that at the mid-quarter break that the Sky made some adjustments and exploited this switching to get themselves open perimeter shots, and they hit most of them.

An entertaining first half--both teams giving big effort on defense, and excellent offensive execution both ways as well.

I’m not convinced that this Sky team can even guard 5 rocks with jerseys on without giving up 80 points.

Never forget that the Lynx could only score 63 points against the Sky, proving that either the Lynx are bums, the Lynx are tanking, or 5 rocks with jerseys on have more talent than a starting lineup with Maya Moore & Sylvia Fowles. Very Happy

Interesting defensive strategy of guarding neither the basketball nor the basket.

I think Zahui has earned more minutes in the 4th, especially considering the blowout score.

I don't understand how DD has only taken two shots in this half.

Chicago's defense:
Dolson-Not in shape
Parker-Not in shape
Sloot-Not quick enough
Quigley-Not athletic enough
Gabby-Not big enough(PF)

Not only did Chicago pass on Stevens, but they let Breland walk. This is what happens when you don know how to evaluate talent.

We’ll see if Liberty can do this against a top team, and not against a team who clearly can’t handle a high paced game

The only downside to this game for the Liberty is that Nurse only played 10 minutes.

Depending on who Chicago drafts.Quigley or Dolson might have to come off the bench.

The Liberty transition game and speed definitely were at their best against this team. I’ll take it though. Libs are def a better team at the point of attack with Boyd out there. She’s been better finishing at the rim, but you can tell she’s learning/working on squaring her shoulders at the rim. It’s pretty exciting to see her development on both ends. She’s showing flashes of elite play.

Maybe she turns out to be our other elite player. Also worth noting that a few of Sugar’s moves were duplicates of what she worked on with Spoon prior to the game. Arriving early has its perks.

That was FUN. Normally I don't find blowouts entertaining (not that I mind one bit when my team is on the victorious side), but I watched this one from start to finish. This game was everything New York fans hoped the 2018 Liberty would be. After such a disappointing season, it was great to see the team throw a basketball party for themselves and the fans to enjoy, and keep themselves on life-support with respect to the playoffs.

A lot of Liberty players had their best game of the year today. Just awesome! Now they need to do it again and again almost every night, mostly on the road, mostly against better teams. They pretty much need to be the best team in the league down the stretch in order to make the playoffs. However, even if they don't make it, more games like this will at least give them something to build on for the future.

2-0 since Bria got her hair done!

Boyd’s numbers prorated for 28 mpg: 8.6 PPG, 7.8 APG, 2.34 SPG, .413 from the field. Not bad.

They appear to be having a lot of fun. I’m good with that. I just wanna win where we can and enjoy the rest of the season. No general expectations other than I just want them to play the way they were capable of playing from the start of the season.

Libs gave up one offensive rebound in the second half after yielding 7 in the first half.
