Both divisions are playing this week with Division A in Sopron, Hungary and Division B in Oradea, Romania. All games should be on FIBA's YouTube channel. Besides scouting for the WNBA Draft, there are quite a few current collegians in the two tournaments and a handful of futures ones. I think I found all the current ones here, but my list does not include the futures ones.

Is Angela Salvadores on the Spanish roster, or is she not eligible (based on age)?

Cam, she's a year too old. She has been training with a group of U23 players that Spain has been using to practice against their senior national team.

Pendande is going to Utah. She and Aquino both went to Ribet, two Div. 1 centers on a high school team and Ribet still underachieved.

Winning in high school is harder than most people think. Throwing a bunch of highly rated talent on the floor is fine, but getting adolescents to focus and play together is far from an easy task. A cohesive group of middling college talent is going to give any collection of all-stars a lot of trouble (check out Central Valley of Washington).

Stop me if you've heard this before, but Spain won the championship. They were actually tested in the quarterfinals against France, but it was smooth sailing from there. Slovakia and Croatia were relegated with losses on Saturday, but both the teams fighting for the last spot could have considered themselves unlucky to even be in that position as Russia beat Slovenia.

Final Standings:
Spain
Serbia
Netherlands
Italy
Hungary
France
Portugal
Sweden
Germany
Belgium
Latvia
Poland
Russia
Slovenia
Slovakia
Croatia

The Czech Republic won the other division, but they and Belarus had already sealed promotion with wins on Saturday. Lithuania edged out the hosts for the last spot.

Final Standings:
Czech Republic
Belarus
Lithuania
Romania
Turkey
Israel
Ukraine
Bulgaria
Greece
Great Britain
Denmark
Iceland

Arizona State women’s basketball incoming freshman Iris Mbulito had a double-double Sunday in leading Spain to a dominating win in the U20 European Championships final.

Mbulito, a 6-1 guard/forward, had 21 points and 12 rebounds in a 69-50 win over Serbia. She was named tournament MVP, averaging 9.7 points, 7.7 rebounds (team high), 2.4 assists and 1.6 steals.

Spain went 7-0 in the FIBA tournament, including a 51-50 quarterfinal win over France when Junio had 12 points and 12 rebounds and scored the winning basket.
