Should be most interesting seeing A'ja square off against our rookie center over the next two games. To a certain extent, this might well serve as a good measuring rod for Masha's development as a young WNBA rookie as she goes against the league's top rookie.

It will be tough after expending a lot of effort last night, but no excuses. I am hoping that Nneka is available as she would provide a nice boost of energy to a tired Sparks team playing extended minutes in Seattle. If not, Parker and Gray will have to lead the charge, hopefully with contributions from the rest of the team. Should be a tough game, but a winnable one.

Plum can play against slow, uninspired players. I don't say that as a criticism; it is just that she doesn't have the athleticism to be a top player. But to her credit she is playing with her head in the game, and if LA doesn't pressure her she can make them pay.

Overall a pitiful first half by the Sparks after the first 3:30. I have not been at all impressed with Vadeeva. Parker looks like she doesn't trust her teammate. And the reserves are a combined 0-9. I wouldn't be surprised if this game is decided by the endof the 3rd quarter.

If Parker could perhaps play with at least three-quarters of her ass, instead of just meandering through the game completely half-assed, that might help LA out. She really looks like she couldn't give a single solitary fuck tonight.
