Thanks for these. Definitely make it easier to keep track of the games and make it more likely I'll catch some of them.
By the way, your sidebars are confusingly wrong again now we're in a new season. I'm watching Kursk play Fenerbahce despite them being in different groups according to the lists right next to the video . |

It seems like the old advantage of a shorter, less taxing season in China has pretty much disappeared at this point. A 34-game regular season, plus three rounds of playoffs if you keep winning, plus the heavy workload that these teams seem to put on their import, means it doesn't look much easier than most Euro gigs any more.
I presume they'll still finish earlier than most Euro leagues do (considering they're already at Week 17), so there might be more of a break before the WNBA season, but one of the key positives about China barely seems to exist any more. |

Yeah, it's not the same as the old days thanks to the initiatives of Yao Ming as federation chief. They just have a normal regular season so you can't jet someone in halfway through the season without any impact on playoff seeding. The expectation of 40 minutes of play every game, low quality air travel, and up to three games a week compared to two in Europe can be pretty painful even if it's lucrative. |
