Hard to feel confident about this game as a Libs fan.

Lynx have had some time off the get yelled at for being losers by Ms. Congeniality. Liberty seem to be lost at sea.

The WNBA is so full of crazy runs, the fortunes of these two teams could look very different in a month. For my team, knowing starters and rotations would be a starting point. Not exactly aspirations of a championship team.

Libs fans, would you trade Hartley and Sugar for Plum and a second round pick?

I’m pretty sure the Aces don’t have a second round pick.

No to Plum. She has not looked good on either end of the court. I say this as someone who was high on her coming into the league. Perhaps Kelsey can function as a PG in the right system, but she's been a detriment to LVA and I don't think she'd be any better in NY. Others have suggested that she can be successful as an undersized SG. Maybe, but that doesn't help NY either.

I'll be out tonight, so if this game is a disaster I won't have to sit through it. Just pretend it didn't happen. Smile

Don't they still have Indiana's 2nd pick they got for Alexander?

I think Plum might do well in this spread-it-out, drive and kick offense with all the 3 point shooting and she’s also more of PG than Hartley. I’m not sure if it would be an immediate cure but it would give another young piece at a needed position without yielding a first round pick. Also, Laimbeer’s offense is not very guard-friendly.

I can’t argue that it wouldn’t be a gamble. Just putting it out there to see what people think.

I’m not sure what makes Plum more of a PG than any other combo guard other than her height kinda forces her to try to be one. Who wants a short SG?

She sees the floor better than Hartley and is a better ball handler. Not that either is an achievement of Sue Bird proportions. I just think in general she processes the game faster.

Plus, I see her as being able to use that shooting range, quick release and pull-up ability to develop her offense. She’s much better at shooting off the dribble than Hartley is.

Other thing is, Hartley and Sugar probably have more value to Laimbeer than anyone else and eventually they’ll get Jefferson back. We aren’t getting a star player by trading Hartley and Rodgers. So the next best thing I can think of is someone who has a chance to develop into a high end player. She might not be but I don’t like Hartley’s game at all (in the Libs’ current offense) and view the movement of a SG as a necessary addition by subtraction.

Maybe we Liberty fans need to settle into the thought we'll be a lottery team.

Those 2 garbage calls (one call one non-call) seemed to spark some intensity in the Libs.
