The WNBA All-Star vote is among players, coaches, media, and fans, with 22 players picked without regard to conference affiliation. The top two vote-getters will be deemed captains, and then each will select who is on her team from the rest of the pool.

Isn't this what they did with the NBA All Star game?

So - how about a poll: Who should be the two captains?

(I'd do it, but I don't know how to do a poll, or if I am even permitted to.)

Well it'll be the two highest vote-getters. So, like, Shoni Schimmel and Kara Braxton, something like that, right? Wink

Well, I'll say Moore is a lock as one of the captains (home team leading vote better). Then probably Taurasi or Delle Donne.

And NHL ditched the concept. Which means it's clearly the right choice.

They should make sure the voting is rigged so that they can get two good rivals like Taurasi and Moore or maybe Griner and Fowles. Or better yet - Griner and Glory Johnson. Razz

That means new ASG jerseys! Nike probably will do the same boring unis as the NBA All-star game with the team logos in the front. Just switch the colors to oatmeal and black Rolling Eyes

Wasn't easy to pick 10. I still picked based on positions, not just top 10. I went with

G: Diggins-Smith
G: Taurasi
G: Loyd
G: C. Gray
F: Stewart
F: N. Ogwumike
F: Charles
F: Howard
C: Cambage
C: Griner

Charles is my only Eastern Conference player I voted for.

I'm not voting. Elections are a bad idea. They can turn out terribly wrong. Besides, I want all my players to get some time off.

Not bad.

You get down to Augustus and Whalen at 12 and 13 to find a bad choice by the fans.

Cambage needs more votes. 19th? Where's the Aussie voters? Wings voters? Diggins has twice as many votes, can't her fans also vote for fellow teammate and MVP contender Cambage?
