We can all say what we want about Wheeler, but she was undrafted and yet is the third-fastest scorer from her class. That is pretty impressive, if her class has been a hot mess.

I can't think of another undrafted rookie for whom a comparison like that would be true.

The only other undrafted player to be one of the first three from her class to reach 1000 points is Sylvia Crawley, who was the 2nd player from the 2000 class to get there. Crawley wasn't a rookie, though. She was 27 years old and had played in the ABL and overseas. The 2000 draft may have been even weaker than 2015.

I bet the Liberty still wish they had kept Wheeler back in 2015.

That's pretty cool Candace Parker and Lisa Leslie are the only 2 players in the 5,000 point club to score all their points with the Sparks and they both did it in the same amount of games.

Given Kobe's Twitter affection for Arike Ogunbowale, one wonders if "Gold Mamba" (assuming the gold is from Notre Dame's colors) might be a nickname given to Arike...

So, she only needs to average five hundred points per game, over her next two? Easy-peasy.

She went over 6000 last night, so she only needs to average 497.5.

Sylvia Fowles, who broke Jonquel Jones' single season record for total rebounds. Fowles finished 2018 with 404 rebounds, one more than Jones' 403 rebounds (set in 2017).

Before Jones' mark last year, the record was 398 rebounds, set by Tina Charles in 2010 (her rookie season).,
