Being shorthanded might have been blessing in disguise - Zahui B. and Nurse got to shine. Who knows could be like when injuries forced A. Thomas to play the 4 for the Sun last year.

Send Nurse to Minnesota if you don’t need her.

It could work if all three play at the same time occasionally. I’m assuming Piph would not accept a trade and that Sugar’s value is declining.

If we can get a healthy 12 at whatever point I think our depth will be a major factor in our favor. As it is, tonight it’s keeping us going with 2 starters and 1 rotation player out. |
Boyd, Prince, Stokes, Vaughn -- arguably 3 starters and 1 rotation player out. Or at least 2/2. |
Forgot about Vaughn. 2/2 because either of Stokes or Vaughn would start but not both. |
Yeah, I was thinking perhaps Boyd, Prince, and one of Stokes or Vaughn might start, if all healthy. Not sure Hartley and Rodgers solidified their spots in the starting lineup.

There's the potential three guard line-up, so making Nurse the defacto back-up SF and letting Coleman ride the bench with Allen.

Zellous, Coleman, and Rodgers all looked old and a step slow. Quigley was destroying everybody off the ball.
Kudos to Zahui, everyone knows I'm not a fan but she is in MUCH better shape than she ever has been. Maybe there's hope for her yet.

Zahui B lost some of baby fat and looked pretty good. I'm happy for her! Looking like she could do some damage this season. Hoping she continues to blossom.
And Chicago is looking like they really beefed up roster wise and defensively. Diamond is going to be special, Gabby is going to be a great tool and bring energy, Quiggs is looking to have a career year, and Dolson, Falker and Montgomery are be as productive as they normally are. Totally forgot about Alaina Cotes existence and she looked pretty impressive too. Chicago is a sleeper team. See them doing some damage honestly.

They are terrific. (This is from a Liberty fan.) I greatly respect any sports commentators who aren't "homers." We need many more like them in all sports. |
Agree, it's refreshing.

Actually they are much, much better than just a year or two ago. Nice to see improvement. I didn't think they were great, but definitely not annoying. Kinda like refs, I feel like if you don't notice them too much, then they're doing a good job.

Chicago won, but I can't say I'm impressed with the rotating door lineups. It reminds me of Charlie Turner Thorne in the college ranks. It almost feels like she has them on a timer and regardless of who is playing well or poorly, when the timer rings they go off/on randomly. And it feels a bit weird to not start your best players, though I guess that will change when Sloot gets back...maybe.

Based on their two games, the Sky should be starting Faulkner-Quigley-DeShields-Parker-Dolson. First players off the bench should be Copper & Coates. Then Williams & Montgomery. Faulkner should be playing 30 mpg until Sloot returns.

It would appear Stocks isn’t flexible with her lineups like that. She wants Faulkner to remain acclimated to the second unit. She won the game so what incentive does she have to change?

They Sky have played the Fever and a very short-handed Liberty. Let's see how the Sky do this week vs. Atlanta & Seattle.

Anyone else thinks that Stocks looks like Ivory Latta? I kept thinking Latta was on the sidelines.
