Between it being an early season game and so many players missing...especially the best passing guards on both teams...yeah. Not pretty.

This reminds me of Zahui from the college days.

The Chicago commentators are just great...No Homerism at all.

I don’t know if the Liberty have a championship caliber team, but they sure are a fun team to watch.

Nurse is fantastic.

They are terrific. (This is from a Liberty fan.) I greatly respect any sports commentators who aren't "homers." We need many more like them in all sports.

All I seem to be seeing for commercials on Twitter is WNBA promos.

Don't recognize Nurse without her bun.

New York needs to learn how to pass a little bit (looking at you Tina), but they've got some quality pieces.

As annoying as this loss (and some fourth quarter calls and non-calls) was, I like the team once we get 12 healthy players. Too bad we can’t get any info on when and if that will be.

Even the info we got (Boyd active) was faulty.

Boyd, Prince, Stokes, Vaughn -- arguably 3 starters and 1 rotation player out. Or at least 2/2.

Even though we lost, some great take aways from tonight's game. Zahui B is in great shape. Never saw her run the floor like that or be able to battle inside. In past seasons, she always would stay out of the lane and take her shots from 15 feet. Nurse is just amazing. She's going to be our 6th woman. Do we really need Prince back? I have to believe that if we had Stokes or Vaughn tonight we would have won. Lost the rebound battle badly, 43-30. And I really don't care for Coleman playing PF. Not going to work. When at full strength, she & Z can split time at SF and have Zahui B cover Charles at PF for 12 mpg. Now let's see if any of our missing four will be playing on Friday.

Forgot about Vaughn. 2/2 because either of Stokes or Vaughn would start but not both.

That small line-up for NY was terrible. This idea that Coleman can post-up is a total joke. She tossed up 4-5 shots that completely missed the rim and one that was way right. Going small was also a major reason the Liberty got out-rebounded. The starters were also awful in terms of shot selection. Tina just hoisting off-balance and contested shots. Rodgers with the off-balance shots and stupid fouls. Zellous with the oh-fer. Nurse and Zahui kept them in the game.

At full strength, we should look like:

PG: Hartley/Boyd
SG: Rodgers/Nurse/Prince
SF: Zellous/Coleman/Allen
PF: Charles/Zahui B
C: Vaughn/Stokes

Good points. I think we need Prince’s creativity but we’re deep on the perimeter. Rebounding hurt us. Arguably Zahui should have stayed in for the entire stretch run instead of going with Coleman.

Coleman looked ok when open but dreadful on mid-range creation attempts. At least one airball and one that only hit the backboard.

As you said the rebounding killed us. Especially in the fourth quarter. In this league Tina is no longer a 5. It’s not like it was when she entered the league where 6’4”+ skilled posts were rare. Now they’re the rule. It’s not like the NBA where hops can nullify height. You can get away with playing small in spurts. Not for 10-15 minute stretches.

X __________

So tired of those Sugar off balance shots. Coleman’s performance speaks for itself and you already said it.

I think Nurse is going to be starting sooner rather than later.

Trade Prince for Coffey. Laimbeer might bite. That’ll give you another player who’s aggressive to the hole.

If she plays even close to her level tonight, she certainly should be a starter and play 25 to 30 minutes.

We just don't need Rodgers, Prince & Nurse. It looks like Nurse will be the better out of the three. Trade one of Prince or Rodgers. Rodgers is probably more likely though as Prince may not agree to be traded.
