Has anyone in the WCBB world stepped up and supported Andrea Constand?

Still waiting to hear from the WCBB community. There may have been behind the scenes support for Constand, but she deserves more.

My Bill Cosby anecdote.

In the early 1960s, he began a stand-up comedy career. One of his shows was in San Francisco, where I lived with my parents (I was 16/17). We attended. Believe it or not, he appeared in the auditorium of Grace Cathedral, a very liberal white church. Joan Baez had appeared there recently.

Cosby was fresh out of Temple University and dressed and sounded like a college prof. The audience adored him. I don't remember any racial humor. He was already presenting himself as "America's Dad," I guess. He was funny. At the end of his show, he got serious and said that soon he'd get off the comedy stage and teach seventh-grade.

Standing ovation!

I had my doubts then about "schoolteacher Cosby." There was something slimy about him, even then.
