I'm curious who is being invited.
So far I've only seen:

McCarty to LA
Morgan William to LV

any more?

Hart is an interesting one. I always thought she would/should be better than she showed. The invite should at least help her find a job overseas.

Rosemarie Julien's stats are mediocre coming from a mid-major. Wonder what ATL saw to make them sign her.

I had hoped they would look at Tashia Brown from WKU for that position. Looks like an attempt to find someone to back up Angel...but yeah, Julien doesn't look like 'it'.

Still surprised Flaherty, James or Buss haven't received an invite.

I don't know Flaherty or James that well, but Buss will not make a roster -- and if she does, you're in deep trouble. So why clutter your camp with players who will never help you, assuming you're happy with the number of women available?

If I had camp spots to give, I'd be much more likely to hand them out to bigger players who have room to develop as opposed to smaller finished products.

Yay! Being signed to camp is very unlikely to result in a roster spot, but it's important to any of these girls who want to play overseas.

I wonder if all these players signing up for LA had no other offers or if they (and their agents) just pay no attention to the teams. They've got about as much chance to make the team as I do.

Sparks always seem to load up on training camp bodies. Who's showing up late for the Sparks, because it looks like a lot of bodies for their camp.

Are they trying to fill a training camp or start a WNBA d-league?

Looking at the 17 and 16 drafts I'm a little surprised we have not seen Shayla Cooper, Briana Butler, or Whitney Knight re-appear on a training camp roster.

I actually think all three would have a slight chance of making it in NY with SF as our biggest weakness. Atl needs a back up SF as well.

Pretty slim, considering there are already 14 names in this group:
Toliver/Cloud/Hightower
Hill/Atkins/Walker-Kimbrough
Ruffin-Pratt/Currie/Taylor
Delle Donne/Hawkins/Peters
Thomas/Sanders

Camp signings are the best.
It's like throwing spaghetti at the wall, except the wall is super slippery, and some teams are like "All we found in the pantry were some packets of dried pasta and they haven't been put into the water yet. Fuck it, let's throw it anyway, you just never know, right?"

All those unproven and highly questionable players getting signed but Ajavon and Morello still sitting on the sidelines. Seems odd. Not that either one of those was very good, but Morello at least has the excuse of being injured for a few seasons and Ajavon is a player with years of WNBA experience. Maybe they just want too much money or something.

Ajavon has been a marginal player for years. She had a few years of usefulness on the Mystakes as a defensive disruptor and occasional hot shooting night. Now she doesn't even have that.

Still surprised no one signed Flaherty. She's a strong three point shooter. Figured someone lacking that would bring her in.

I pretty much agree. My point was that training camp contracts are being handed out like party favors and it's a bit of a surprise that Ajavon didn't get one. The Sparks alone look like they are raising an army to fight the crusades.
