They have Lynx reject/now WNBA superstar Natasha Howard so I'm going to predict Seattle to be one of the top 4 teams in the WNBA and the Lynx to be worse, if not miss the playoffs, since that would be the most typical Minnesotan thing to happen, along with whoever is around at pick #12 to be a future perennial WNBA All-Star while D-Rob ends up being one the worst backup PGs in the league. Crying or Very sad

Seattle’s fortunes relied on that #17 pick? Natasha Howard is not better than what could be available at #17? I would love for the Lynx to take that transaction back. Although, I’ll probably feel differently if Russell, Gulich, or Billings is available at #17 (not likely in the real world), or if Seattle misses the playoffs (again, not likely).

Okay, cthskzfn, you’re finally on the clock. Pick somebody who knocks Banham onto the waiver wire so Pokey can pick her up too. Surprised

Now you know how Atlanta feels waiting interminably for #16. At least Collen did something in free agency.

Toad made Maria Vadeeva this draft’s Party Crasher 🏆
Lexie Brown will be this draft’s last invitee taken.
What did Lexie do to deserve this distinction? She’s only the ACC defensive player of year, had 7 steals each in her last two games of her career (one being UConn), and can also shoot from the logo. Tough crowd.

So I planned on taking a post player @ 11 (Russell, Vadeeva or Mavunga). But didnt expect Brown to fall. So with that being said...with the 11th pick. My LA Sparks select Lexie Brown. Duke.
Beard cant play forever and neither can Cappie. Gray, Sims and Brown would be a nice backcourt for yrs to come with Dabo coming over every other year. Now we just have to find someone to take BayBay off our hands and we're set

Well, after the only real PG was taken, it was grab another 2 posing as a 1, another 2 posing as a shooter, or a real good 2.

The SUN have too much of the same level talent, imo, other than JJ and (maybe) JThomas. I don't know what to expect from Ogumike, so I decided to get athletic help for the frontline.

I’m going to try to hammer out the Sparks depth chart with Lexie Brown on it.

CGray/Pondexter/LBrown
Sims/RWilliams/Dabovic/JAnderson
Beard/Carson/Wiese/Samuelson
NOgwumike/TJackson
Parker/Lavender

Did I miss anybody that’s actually signed?

So with Brown added, that would give them 9 guards spread over 3 positions.
The realistic max over those three positions is 8, and more ideally it should be 7.

And that’s only if the cap allows them to carry 12 players. If they have to carry 11 like the Lynx had to most of the last two seasons, then that’s another guard they’ll have to dispense.

Trade Ogwumike to ATL or CHI for their first round pick in 2019.

ATL seems fair , but how well do you think ATL will be this year. Im seeing a playoff team so that 1st Rounder might not be as great & ATL made this mistake last year and missed out on (Kelsey Mitchell / Azura Stevens/Diamond Deshields) This year. The could Azura if she were to fall in this draft Randy would have a fit. Laughing

I'd like to rid the roster of all waddlers, so BJones would go first.

Wink

Russell probably is more realistic, but I also think Brown could be a good pick. Package Williams and Carson to LV for Izzy Harrison or a 4/5?? Idk

you were supposed to pick Brown at #8 so Canada could fall to #10 even though it is clear Canada would of then went at # 9, but then I could have taken Billing at #10.

I didn't like having to choose between Nurse and Brown. I like Brown and think NY needs the scoring, but because Nurse is bigger, can play some 3 and is a lot less ball dominant I thought she was the better fit for NY. I also thought she was the safer pick, but the safe pick isn't always exciting. I also think taking either Brown or Nurse knocks one of our guard/wings from last year off the team, (most likely L. Allen so Iwould be offer Laimbeer L. Allen for #13 right after making the Nurse pick at #10) while Billings could have slot in the 12th spot. I guess I could have gone with Russell or reached for Mavunga but I didn't, and so now someone gets bumped and we still need a 5th post or will settle for one of camp invites (Ibekwe, Allyene or R. Gray unless our 2nd round pick breaks through).

so

Harltey/Boyd
Prince/Rodgers/Nurse
Zelous/B. Allen
Charles/Zahui B/Gray, Ibekwe or Alleyne
Stokes/Vaughn

With the 13th pick of the 2018 Draft, Admiral selects... Arrow

    <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/hdXJQHCGP7g" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Shakayla Thomas, SF, Florida State University Razz

It's hard to pass on some of the players still on the board, but some of them seem unlikely to drop that far, so I figured I'd go with my original pick.. Shocked
Shakayla almost reminds me of a Young Tamera Young, who coincidentally, was just signed by Las Vegas to play SF. Idea

Pokey was planning on taking a tall SF at #14, but in light of how the draft is going, she might as well add yet another 6’6 player. Maybe Stevens can play at the SF.

With the #14 pick the Fever select.... Mercedes Russell.
