Of course, no one knows for sure ... latest rumors that I've heard ...

1) There will be no work stoppage -- players know it's suicide
2) Look for a salary-cap exception for one player, maybe $150,000 (I think $200,000 would make more sense, but that's not the number I heard)
3) Other issues will be working conditions, though it's unclear if charters are on the table. Maybe scheduling or housing allotments?

What happens if there’s a salary cap exception for one player if you have two players that are on the same level?

A decision will have to be made

Creating more chemistry issues and avoiding teams creating "Super teams" unless you have a player like Odyssey Sims Rolling Eyes

Frankly, eliminating back-to-back games should be one of the top priorities in the "working conditions" category.

The Golden State Warriors just played five games in seven days, and three games in four nights.

If the NBA can't make it work for its flagship franchise, I don't see it happening in the WNBA.

I would love it. 150 k might be enough to break up the talent monopolies, but not enough to keep the superstars from sitting out. I'm hoping it goes higher. A lot higher.

Interesting question - what player would each team give the Max $ to?

Altanta - probably Angel, unless they could get someone in FA who didn't get the max.
Chicago - right now Vandersloot, DD before long.
Minnesota - ? Fowles or Moore
Phoenix - Griner or Taurasi
LA - Cambage, Parker, Gray or Nneka
NY - Charles
DC - EDD
Indiana - No one right now, but maybe pick up disgruntled star who didn't get the max
LV - Wilson
Dallas - Cambage, or Diggins
Seattle - Stewart or Bird
Sun - Jones, Thomas, or Chiney?

I love it - it would be very divisive and split up some teams.
