Well, there's been a TV glut of wins by ND so far this weekend on ESPN.
So far ND over aTm in the WBB tournament.
ND over Ohio State in Lacrosse.
ND over Michigan Tech in OT and over Providence ( game winning goal with 27 seconds remaining in the game) to advance to the Frozen Four in hockey.
ND playing UNC in softball right now.
Don't recall so many games in so many sports on TV in a single weekend before. Thanks ESPN. Guess the ESPN-ACC TV deal is showing dividends.
Just have to keep it rolling tomorrow night vs Oregon.

Two high-O/low-D teams. The loser could be the team that doesn't reach 100 points. |

And Fencing just won their 10th NC (2nd straight).

Well, ND has scored the most points in the first three games of any team in the tournament. That's a good sign.

Bad enough they have to show bullshit features over the game but the audio is so bad you can't even hear it.

Arike doing the same at the other end. They're both just really, really good players.

Refs letting alot go in this one , you pretty much need to get blatantly smacked to get the call . I like it as long as it goes both ways !

Maya Moore and multiple first round picks for her? or is that not enough, since Maya is getting old.

Boy, Graves was right that their interior defense is porous...actually almost non-existent. If they win this game, Gabby Williams eyes will be lighting up. It's like they try to play one post against two. Very ugly. Of course it makes it hard to defend them at the other end.

I can't believe you can't stop Westbeld -- she's so slow with no hops. Yet she gets the ball unimpeded all the time. |

Shepard is also a genius at throwing her body into a defender, knocking them back a step, and scoring without drawing a foul.

Very true.
Oregon played a whiff of defense in the 2Q and it made a difference. |

That should have been an offensive foul on Shepard. She put her shoulder into a stationary Hebards gut moving her out before going up for the shot. Refs are really bad about those kind of plays. They seem to let offensive player get away with initiating contact, but this was really too obvious.

If Hebard gets in foul trouble the might have to put the German on Shepard.

Satou is not helping in the lane and she is nominally playing the 4. Hebard is not supposed to play off Shepard, so Westbelt is continuously wide open.

14 of 17 ND baskets were assisted (82%).
7 of 20 Oregon baskets were assisted (35%).
ND needs to stop their dribblers. Oregon only has 4 o-boards, so that's not too bad.

Just making up for when they didn't call Ionescu on the hook to get herself around Arike.

I'd just keep running Shepard up and down the court. The only way she gets back on defense is by giving up on offense boards and releasing as soon as a shot goes up. If ND needs her to offensive rebound Oregon should be able to get inside before she can get back on defense. She played 38 minutes vs TAMU.
But this game will come down to who can score the most. Neither team will get players on any all-defensive teams. If ND gets hot from outside they can beat anyone.

Graves is brain dead to leave that giant hole in the middle of his defense. I'll take Rueck over him. Rueck can teach better team defense than Graves with lesser players. Plus, I don't like a dribble-dribble-dribble offense. I like pass-pass-pass. Slice 'em up, Muffet. |

If anything it's a foul on Mabrey for gabbing Ionescu's arm as she ran by.
