what's w/ all these choollah(sp) shots- the ones that hit and then die on the rim bracket and drop through the net? Been seeing a lot of them.

Any jai alai fans here? You know what I mean.

Billings has improved a lot this year IMO but she can't help it if she's only 6'4" tall if she wears 4" heels. And if you follow P12 threads at all, that's been repeated for 4 years. It has nothing to do with her performance today. It doesn't change the fact that she's really a tweener without outside skills.

So, in other words, she's about 2" taller and a better outside shooter than Gabby Williams?

Laughing Laughing Laughing

Seriously though.....Billings imo is no shorter than Ogwumike,GJ,Brunson,etc......McCowens makes Billings look smaller than she really is.

She's not a post-up player. Her explosiveness+that step through move at least gives her a chance against most Pac-12 opponents but of course she's going to struggle playing with her back to the basket against someone as huge as McCowan. She'll be a perfectly fine hustle/rebounding frontcourt player in the W (with an above average ceiling) and there's nothing wrong with that.

No, she's not a better outside shooter than Gabby, but is a couple inches taller and can probably post up better because that's what she's been asked to do and she does that really well against players her size or slightly taller. She's done what she's been asked to do and maybe she could develop an outside shot. This year she's been hitting the 12' er much more regularly.

Canada has the heart of a lion!

She and Blair dove on the ground after a lose ball and kinda landed awkward.

I don't think so, but the UCLA fans might have seen one sometime.

Yeah, it's very very rare to see her take a shot that's more than a 10-12 footer. I think we saw her put up a 3 pt attempt once this whole tourney and it was in an early game, they were solidly up, and shot clock was running out.

Seattle mostly. Canada to the Storm at #5 seems likely.

McCowens was just too big and strong...5 inches and about 50 pounds bigger than Billings.

She has been really really impressive this year. I love how smooth she is - makes it look easy and doesn't get flustered. And she takes over when they need her to. Top 7 pick IMO. But really a pure three at the next level.

patsweetpat, your Bruins had a great run. They did you proud.

I don't believe that Billings likes wearing gym shorts.
At the pro level she should get permission to wear bikini shorts. This will give her the freedom of movement that she desires to do all those extraordinary athletic moves. Very Happy

Does anyone else feel the same instant flare of rage that I get when I hear that Tina Napier is doing a postseason game? How she escaped Clockgate clean as a whistle I will never know, and it still pisses me off that she still gets plum gigs while the other two officials in that game basically lost their careers (and I do blame the fallout from that, at least in part, for Spence's death).

Well, bummer for the Bruins. Miss St was just too much and they were never able to get that running game going like they wanted.

Very fun watching and cheering for Canada, Billings, and Hayes the last four years.

The Bulldogs were the better team tonight and they deserved to advance.

I hope they win it all.

And though I'm bummed that my Bruins' run came to an end in Kansas City, I feel so lucky and proud to have gotten the chance to watch Mo, Kelli and Jordin hoop it up for the past 4 years. I'll remember this squad forever.

I can't wait to watch what they're gonna do next, both on and off the court.

Thank you so much, you three.

The infamous game in Knoxville in which the clockkeeper stopped the clock at 0.2 as Anosioke shot a putback and was fouled w/ RU up 1.

Replay clearly showed had the clock not stopped before the whistle was blown, the shot wouldn't have counted. N.A.was a ~65% FT and swished both win the game for Tenn.

I believe that game helped to get to the review-happy place we are today.
