Someone needs to update AfterEllen.com's outdated WNBA info for this, but here it is anyway. Scroll to the bottom.

AE reader Evie gave us the rundown on the article and what it had to say:

They are both very competitive, so much that Sheri didn't speak to Laine for three days after Ramla swept Holon in the playoff's quarter finals 3:0. Laine's parents know Sheri, Sheri's mom knows about Laine but did not meet her yet. Sheri will go back to the USA for the season while Laine continues to fight for three titles and will go home only in May, but Laine promised Sheri a vacation soon after; Laine is a very talented painter, Sheri says proudly. Sheri says she does not feel discriminated as a lesbian. Their relationship was no secret to the Israeli basketball community.

What the hell! This is new to me, but it is "old" news from what is included. The Detroit Shock? Really!??!??! What is the current status and how many kids have they adopted and are there more cute doggies in the family and has she met her mother yet and why are they reporting this now? When was this originally reported in the Israeli newspaper?

I haven't read AE in ages but they historically have not reported much on women's sports. They tend to just throw things up (like this) when someone sends stuff to them.

Yes, she was. She was also in the L.A. Sparks camp in '05 and the Indy Fever camp in '07 or '08.
