Haven't been in the Times Union Center in a while. I saw Breanna Stewart win and Saniya Chong lose the NYS Federation Championship there in high school. If JPM loses to UConn, I don't think there's any coach that Duke could have had that would have gotten the Devils any further in the tourney. |

OK Laurel and Hardy, it's time to get to the game and listen to Lobo and Lawson and the game.

Both Collier and Williams have a shorter than normal distance between their shoulders and the top of their head. And good arm length. Would love to see teams list vertical reach instead of height, but they'd lie about that too.

Another UConn-Duke blowout. At least this gives me time to go out and get some lunch without missing anything important.

UCONN played like complete garbage today and the same against Quinnipiac. Nurse and Dangerfield missing wide open threes consistently is indicative of a team that does not respond to pressure well (polite for chokes) Advantage South Carolina against this low energy, no confident team. Stevens missed enough bunnies to fill a rabbit farm. This is not a team destined for the Final Four let alone win a 12th championship. Three first team AA's - they should be dominating teams like Duke instead the Blue Devils took them to the woodshed in the second half. Other than Williams they are playing scared.

have you watched S Carolina? You don't have to play great, just better than the other team. UConn was up 51-31 after 3 periods and up by 20 with 2:15 left. Woodshed? LOL
Every team has a bad game at some point in the NCAA's. Luckily UConn's came against Duke.

UConn doesn't look as good as in years past, but it doesn't matter because they just have to be better than everybody else, and they certainly look like that. A team like SoCar who depends heavily on one player won't be the team that can beat them.

So it was a bad game, That is what I am saying as early on in the second half Duke cut it to 13. Thank God for Gabby who saved their bacon.

Yes, save for the fact we could spare ourselves by fast forwarding through the ugliness.

Never again for the Times Union Center. What uncomfortable seats. Smaller than airplane coach seats and about 3" to move your feet forward and back. Last times I was at press tables and should have tried for that again, as about 1/3 of the press seats were empty.
Poor shooting and mediocre assisting game for UConn, who had a hard time hitting from the floor and charity stripe . . . with Samuelson, Collier and Stevens blowing more chippies than Keebler. I'll give modest credit to the Duke defense. |

The little 'bridges' the players had to cross over to get on the court looked weird and somewhat dangerous as well.

You don't say much, but when you do, you don't say much.
Playing scared? HAHAHA! I doubt it.

Yes. From my spot, it appeared UConn players did not take this game seriously and were not locked in as they usually are. Shooting was WAY off. Passing was mediocre.
Even taking into account that the only way Duke/JPM had a bat's chance in hell was to play the fugliest game possible, there's no explaining LouConn missing so many wide open shots. Or why Z didn't just elevate over the impish Duke players and throw one down.
I expect this was UConn's worst game of the season and they will now put the pedal to the metal the rest of the way.

If they want to get out of Albany, they had better.
