Anyone hearing rumblings about Te'a Cooper? Is she Baylor bound or is Kim going to pass?

I dunno....I think Kim could do much more for Te'a than Te'a could do for Kim.

Toledo lands a grad transfer from Chattanooga, Arianne Whitaker, 6'2 RS Jr F who will be eligible immediately.

Lena Svanholm, 6'0 So F from Horsholm Denmark, has transferred from Colorado State to UC-Davis. She'll sit a year but have two years remaining.

Seton Hall has landed UNC RS So Jocelyn Jones, a 6'0 G from Richmond, VA, as a grad transfer with 2 years of eligibility remaining.

Wake Forest Grad transfer Tyra Whitehead, 6'3 F, lands at San Jose State.

Probably saw all she needed to See out of Coach Aston and her year of sitting out due to injury . Sedona could be a big pick up for some team out there. Anyone remember her final 3 ?

Her other three were:
Notre Dame
UConn
Oregon St.

Oregon St. is already filled with big posts. I guess it just depends if she wants to play for Muffet or Geno.

I would LOVE to see Sedona end up in Storrs. That would fill the gap in the middle that we have currently. She and ONO could be quite the pair.

Incoming frosh Esmery Martinez is seeking a release from her LOI from Mississippi State. She would not have been an able to travel with the Bulldogs to Italy for the world university games, as she is a native of the Dominican republic. She is also a high school teammate of 2020 recruit Camila Cardoza who if was hotly recruiting.

Was just posted on the Boneyard that both Westbrook and Dangerfield had surgery and will be out for 4 months. I suppose that explains why Westbrook applied for an injury waiver. This would be a big hit to Uconn for the coming season with a less than 100% Dangerfield.

I wouldn't rule out Oregon State even with the glut in post players. Prior to her injury, she would have been better than any of the posts they currently have stabled and if she makes a strong recovery, she could be their lead at that position.

Orrrrr.....can't rule out a Bianca-Cuevas-Moore reversal of fortune, where she changes her mind and stays! Cool

Raoul noted that this makes four transfers from Syracuse this off-season, the other three being:

• Chelayne Bailey, 5-6 JR guard, Pickering, ON (grad xfer) → ?
• Marie-Paule Foppossi, 6-1 RS FR forward, Strausbourg, France → Rhode Island
• Veronika Vorackova, 5-9 FR shooting guard, Ceské Budejovice, Czech Republic → Rhode Island

Raoul also noted:

--- Rhode Island has a new head coach, Tammi Reiss, who was previously a Syracuse assistant coach.

--- Syracuse landed a grad transfer from Rhode Island: Elemy Colome (5-7 RS JR guard, Lawrence, MA).

This doesn't surprise me at all and it helps Syracuse, IMO. Syracuse has a chance to win the ACC and he just had waaaaay too many players on his roster last year....and he played too many players too. They have a really good core with Mangakahia, Cooper, Strautmane, and the most talented player on the roster who I expect to make a huge sophomore leap, Emily Engstler. I'm excited to see this unfold.

One of the reasons that several French players as well as other international players may find Rhode Island attractive is because Adeniyi Amadou left the Q along with Reiss to be her second in command. Hes reknowned in Europe among club teams.

Big rebuild. Merriweather actually was announced earlier and was headed to Southern Cal but is now headed back to the Twelve.

McKenzie Forbes, a Mickey's girl, will transfer from Cal. Possibly a move East, maybe to the Ivy League.

Just saw a post on one of the Baylor Player's social media with Dwight Howard at the Ferrell Center.

I'm almost certain that means Te'a is going to be a Lady Bear!

Georgia Tech release regarding the addition of Sarah Bates:

Quote:
Georgia Tech women’s basketball head coach Nell Fortner announced Sarah Bates has signed a grant-in-aid for the 2019-20 season. A 5-9 redshirt-sophomore guard from Fresno, Calif., Bates redshirted last season at Kansas State and will have three years of eligibility remaining on The Flats.

Considering that she said her motive for leaving Mizzou was to play for an up-tempo team, moving to Vandy seems ... curious?

Really.......moving to the basement of the SEC?!?!?!? Well, at least she gets a decent education, not that there's anything wrong with the EDUCATION at Mizzou, or at least there wasn't when the last of my cousins was there......
