37-32 OSU midway through the 3rd period.

Leading 27-23 at the half UCLA came out in the 3rd period trying to run OSU out of the game. But they can't make a layup while OSU runs layup drills against the Bruins' phantom defense.

One overtime game in Oregon is not enough. Let's hope the refs don't screw this one up.

Looked to me like Tudor walked. Glad her heave didn't drop.

Awful foul call on Drummer. That was a jump ball.

It was however a foul before the jump ball. They just didn't call it until it was the jump.

Anyway, pretty awesome game.

Yes, very competitive and exciting and hotly-contested and now I want to die and I hate everybody and I'm sorry that basketball was ever invented.

I was curious so I replayed it a few times. from one angle it did look like she walked as she got the ball, but it was an illusion. She shortened her steps right before she got the ball but then increased her last stride as she put the ball on the floor. It created the illusion of steps, but in reality she only got the ball on her last short step and then put it on the floor before her last long step as she released the ball. You had to watch it a few times to catch it. The officials were closer so it was easier for them than those of us watching on the tube.

I had no replay ability and will take your word for it. Wink

Btw, watching all those high screens by OSU which resulted in layup after layup gave me a wonderful flashback to the 2000 National Championship game.

I don't blame anyone for thinking that she walked. I had to replay it quite a few times to recognize it my self. My eyes kept getting fooled until I could finally recognize what actually happened. It appears she shortened her steps to be in an optimum position for the pass and the viewer is focused on the multiple out of sync shorter steps and not on when she actually receives the ball to put it on the floor. As I said it was one of those optical illusions. I am just assuming that the refs had a better perspective close to the floor than those of us had on TV or they might have called it walking as well. Often players are called for walking when they actually don't as well as not for when they do.
