Bulls running all over the Buckeyes, 31-13 after the 1st Q. Buckeyes have no answer for Kitija Laksa and Mitchell can’t hit the broad side of a barn.

USF lost to Wichita State, just for some perspective.

South Florida 68 Ohio St 50 end of 3
To put this game in perspective, Ohio St is #5 RPI. With a loss they will fall to ?
USF is #29 RPI. With a win they will rise to ? (answers in ten minutes)

Ohio St will fall to #6 and USF to #26 8) |
Correct. Ohio St, a team with a 6-6 record against top 50 teams and 0-1 against top 10 teams, is still #6, even though they are down 23 to a team not even in the top 25. What a system.

USF is a dangerous team to play because they are a decent defensive team and are capable of putting a lot of points on the board. Sure, they lost at Wichita but they were also competitive against Notre Dame when Vaughn was healthy. Most P-5 schools will only schedule them as home games.
There is also what I call the "sunshine and palm tree factor" when northern schools travel to Fla in Feb. Hard to focus on basketball.
In any case this national TV game should get USF back into the top 25 unless the writers filled out their ballots last night. Nos 23-25 have lost this week and could lose more today. I'd like to see them get a 6 seed and have a shot at the S16. And as much as don't think tOSU deserves it, looking at the rest of their schedule they should win out the rest of the reg season and could get a 3 seed based on their RPI.
