This one could be a snoozer considering Michigan State is playing without guards due to injuries, and Ohio State has the current NCCA scoring leader. BUT Ohio State played at Iowa just about 40 hours ago, and they use a very short bench.

McCutcheon is back from the concussion for MSU. Cooks is having her best game I've seen for them.

23-20 OSU in the 2nd.

McCutcheon is back at PG for MSU, but the Spartans are the ones who look tired - lots of walking back and shots on the short side.

Gussert is back from her broken arm/elbow today, too.

Finally Ohio St is pulling away from the Spartans. Ohio St 50-42 with 2:33 to go in the third.

Kelsey Mitchell about to become the all time leading scorer in Big 10 history.

And then she picks up her 4th foul and sits with 2:03 left in 3Q.

Michigan St had their chance when Mitchell picked up her 4th. They closed within 2, but a 10-0 run leaves Ohio st up 12 with 6 minutes to go.

I really like Mavunga. If only she would play hard all the time.

Mitchell became the all time B1G leader with about 2:40 to go in the game.

OSU blows open the lead to 78-58.

What do you like?

She's not particularly tall. She doesn't have any particular offensive moves. She has no footwork. I just don't see any special skills. And on top of that, as your comment reflects, she works part time.

I'm curious what about her you "really like".

Agree, I've been largely disappointed with her this season. She seemed primed to have a breakout campaign but her stats don't reflect the lack of consistent impact she has on a game.

Among 370 qualified D1 senior forwards according to NatStat, Mavunga is #5 in RPG, #5 in FG%, #9 in Eff, #11 in BPG, and #42 in PPG.

But she’s fouling out of games; therefore, limiting that impact on the OSU offense.
