Some would say that taxpayer dollars shouldn't fund sports teams anyway.

That would be the end of college sports

Apparently Army and Navy's teams aren't govt funded, and they're still playing.

Bullshit public relations stunt.

This is the equivalent to towns that are faced with taxpayer cuts to education budgets. It's always sports and bands that get cancelled to create a backlash. But never the travel budgets of school administrators or the jobs of bloated administrative staffs. I'll bet that the Air Force Academy administrators will still be dining on filet mignon and attending "planning" conferences in tropical settings.

The entire athletic budget of the Air Force Academy would likely not pay for one predator drone.

Bit of predictive auto-correction there?

Air Force has yet to win this year, 0-17 including a loss to Division II Colorado Christian. The Falcons have been playing better of late so hopefully they will be able to get back to playing soon (Because this is the biggest problem with the Government shutdown Shocked )

They don't fund the Army or Navy teams if the report I read recently is accurate.

Edit - oops should have read ahead to see you made the same point.
