One of the greatest American race car drivers. Won races in Formula 1, Indy Car, Nascar, and endurance racing including the 24 Hours of LeMans. Later became a car designer and team owner.

Died of pneumonia.

A true legend and innovator. He raced in so many different series, and won in just about every type of car. I was lucky enough to see him compete in several Indy 500's as boy.
