Frank Erwin Center
Austin, Texas

The undefeated-at-home LHs look for their 1st win over the undefeated Huskies.

Looks like the game will be played and folks can get out before the ice storm hits.

Given what Texas has done so far this season, I see know reason to expect this game to be at all close.

Here's why I'm worried:

1. Away game; great crowd
2. Texas had talent/depth at guard...and they can dribble penetrate which UCONN has always had a hard time defending.
3. They have size.
4. These seniors/juniors have played UCONN many times so they know exactly what it takes.

I miss the days when MLK weekend featured huge OOC matchups. The only other P5 teams in action are an SEC matchup between UK and Vandy.

I suppose conference coverages have trumped this day.

Katie Lou and Kia and Napheesa will all be burdened with a 24-hr virus. Atkins will have overdosed on Wheaties. TX wins. By 4.

Minimally coached, poorly disciplined teams typically fare especially poorly against UConn.

I actually think Tulane is well-coached.

OK-State had the Longhorns in trouble but couldn't close them out in Austin, so I expect UConn to easily knock Texas out of the top 10. The question is how big of a margin will it be.

Exc. pt.s all.

I'll add I'm still not sold on CT's intestinal fortitude.

Nice to see there is a live pregame show on the Longhorn Network.

UConn victory challenges:

- Gabby scores in double figures.
- Lou hits more than one three.
- Phees hits more than 50%.
- Z plays defense and without fouling.
- Coombs plays in the second quarter.

UConn can't guard shit.

Until that changes, nothing else will.

Azura hoisting threes is just what Texas would want.

Should that have been a 4-point play? I couldn't tell on the replay.

KLS hoisting threes on the other hand is not so desirable for the orange team.
