I'm interesting in seeing Felicia Aiyeotan, who starts for Virginia and is listed as 6'9".
Unusual format for this tournament. Ohio played yesterday and lost to Furman. Virginia is playing its first game today.

Ohio leads after 1, 28-19, on the strength of their 3-point shooting. The Cavaliers have taken care of the ball and are good shooters, but haven't done much to exploit their advantage in size.

Virginia 35-34 at the half. The 3-balls went away for Ohio, due largely to a more aggressive Cavalier defense. And since the Bobcats aren't getting points off turnovers, they struggled to score points.
I'm on the fence on Aiyeotan as a big-time prospect. Although it's hard to tell from the long-range video feed, she certainly looks like she might be about her stated height, and doesn't look rail thin. Seems to have pretty good endurance. No gazelle, but not painfully slow. A lot of her problems may just be inexperience - bringing the ball down where Bobcat gnats can reach it, and not a great shooting touch.

Virginia 60, Ohio 42 at the end of three. Floodgates really opened up as Ohio looks fatigued and Virginia looks fresh.

Really surprised at this. I thought Ohio would do better because IMNSHO, UVA just isn't all that. I like Willoughby, but I don't care for Ayeotan at all.

Ohio can be a fun team to watch, but in addition to being really young, they struggle against teams with size. A big part of Virginia's third quarter run was fueled by lobs to Aiyeotan, who was being guarded by either a 6'0" or 5'11" Bobcat. I'd love to see her in person to get a better idea of her potential. She's clearly got a long way to go as a sophomore, but give her two more years, and she may be something.
