I think Peck realizes that Nikki Fargas is going to get the boot sooner rather than later so she wanted to get a head start on her return to announcing.

Which job do you think pays better? Was not sure if this decision was monetary or maybe just less hours.

No, I meant that if Fargas gets the axe after this season, Peck will have beaten her to the broadcast booth.

Better (for LSU fans) that Peck beats Fargas to the broadcast booth than have Peck replace Fargas on the sidelines at LSU...

The announcement came after the school's compliance office conducted an internal review of the program. School spokesman Tom McClellan said he was unable to say what specifically was being reviewed.

Macy says she regrets "my misunderstanding about practice rules" and resigned "to save the university and the team from any unnecessary distractions."

ECU says assistant Chad Killinger will serve as interim head coach.

Tracy Sanders, the head coach there, is a former player of mine. She was one of three Morris sisters that played for Campolindo in the '90s, and all played for St. Mary's College. Tracy was the key in three straight state titles as one of the early taller players (6-2) who shot threes and handled the ball.

Her daughter, Samantha, is also a really good player and will make the local high school team better.

Good luck to both this year ...
