This is Michigan’s last chance to get a decent RPI non-conference win.

Ditto for Marquette 😀. MU does still play at Notre Dame but I don't think MU has much of a chance of even being competitive in that game.

Wow - another starting lineup for Marquette - hope they find something that works well soon.

Go Marquette!

It’s the first day of snow and below freezing weather in A2, and it looks like many of our fans have wimped out. It’s the smallest crowdbwe’ve Had this season.

10-4 Marquette 5 minutes in.

I don’t know what’s going on with mgoblue.com, but the IHeart radio app works for WTKA 1050.

Thanks - got the broadcast on there - it's a little behind the stats but that's better than nothing.

Ugh - MU has 4 fouls and two players each with 2 fouls - let's distribute the fouls a little better Smile

MU up 19-15 at the end of the first quarter. Michigan made a run near the end of the quarter but at least this is a much better start than MU had at UWGB.

MU’s lead cut to 19-15 at the end of 1Q. Deja Church took the ball off of the out of bounds play and dribbled the full court to hit a layup at the buzzer.

MU 30-24 halfway into 2Q. Marquette is very aggressive - much more so than when I watched them play UWGB last week.

I think UWGB really took Marquette out of their game - big credit to them.

Happy to see Davenport doing well so far - she's seemed a bit off lately.

Wilborn comes in the game and proceeds to pick up her 3rd foul right away - ugh!

Seems like a competitive game. When I think of Michigan and Marquette, I think of you two fans, as you may be the only fans of your teams on RebKell. You are also two of the most amiable fans here. Carry on!

Oh heck I'm the only MU Women's fan on the MU scout board Smile. But thanks for the kind words.

And yes mzonefan is very knowledgeable and nice but obviously we are on opposite sides tonight Smile.

And just like that Marquette is losing - was afraid of this Sad. Looks like Marquette called a timeout - UM 36 MU 33 with 8:10 to go in the quarter.

I really wish Amani Wilborn would stop attempting 3's.

Senior, eh? Thibault should give her a look. Surprised

She’s the heart of the team, but most of the time she can’t hit the side of a barn.

Thank you. Marquette looks good moving forward. I think they’ll give a lot of BE teams a run for their money this season.

Maybe ten-fifteen years ago she might have had a shot, especially from Thibault, but she's too short to be a forward, no matter what her shoulders and her rebounding tell you.
