Colorado guard Quinessa "Q" Caylao-Do, a starter in the Buffs' first-four games, has missed the passed three games with a broken hand. She's expected to be back in about a month.

CU (6-1) defeated North Dakota State (5-2) 108-59 Wednesday night in Boulder. Junior forward Janea Bunn led the Buffs with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Bunn also had four blocked shots and two steals in 19 minutes of action.

Junior Kennedy Leonard flirted with a triple-double netting 16 points, 10 assists and seven boards in just 18 minutes. Senior guard Brecca Thomas was a perfect 7-of-7 for 14 points. Freshman guard Peyton Carter had 12 points and eight assists and just one turnover logging 20 minutes off the bench. Freshman guard/forward Mya Hollingshed also scored in double figures with 11 points in 21 minutes.

CU's lone loss came at North Carolina 80-87 in overtime. The Buffs next play at Colorado State on December 6.

Last year Buffs beat is on in Fargo by 17 and some thought that this NDSU team is better than last years version. That was an evisceration. If it doesn't serve to wake the Bison up I see this as being Maren Walseths final year at NDSU.

It really did feel more like an exhibition game for the Buffs. Every dressed player for CU played at least nine minutes and most of the starters played less than half the game.

The Buffs are far better off with the juco additions than they were with the three players that transferred. So consider that Colorado is significantly better than most folks realize. I've sure been very pleasantly surprised.

Best of luck to the Bison moving forward.

I'm very interested to see how good Colorado is. They have their normal good home win over Miami, but otherwise have played a very weak non-conference schedule. They also get a break by missing Cal and Stanford at home and Oregon and Oregon State on the road in conference. The Buffs could finish in the top half of the conference, but the weaker schedule could hurt them getting into the NCAA.
