This game is huge for Michigan and a bit of a trap game for Notre Dame (in between S. Carolina and Connecticut). B1G/ACC Challenge.

Looks like Mich is going to have to make a higher percentage of their perimeter shots because if this first quarter is any indication, Michigan has shown no ability to defend ND's cuts and motion, and they're getting outrebounded.
ND leads 24-13 at the end of one quarter.

There's 3 minutes to go in the first half and Ogunbowale already has 20 pts, shooting 8-12.

ND leads 43-34 at the half as Mich drains a three at the buzzer.
ND winning the battle of the boards 23-11.
Right after my last post, Ogunbowale got called for an offensive foul and sat out the rest of the half, so she ends with 20 for the half.

Ogunbowale has 8 baskets, the same as the rest of the team together.
Is Vaugn injured. The box score doesn't list her.

Vaughn hasn't played but I don't know why.
ND's fast break is clicking with Ogunbowale and Young on the run. Lead becomes 52-37 and Barnes-Arico calls timeout three and a half minutes into the quarter.

Flaherty may take most of the shots and get the glory, but I think Thome is their most important player.

Vaughn was seen limping and she will not play tonight.

Final 83-63.
Michigan doesn't have enough top flight players to compete with the Louisvilles and Notre Dames. They have Thome and Flaherty, and maybe Brown, and then it tails off pretty steeply.

Agreed. A PG would have really helped this year.

Impressive game by ND against 22 ranked Michigan. Ogunbawale is playing herself at this point in the season into first team AA status. Looking forward to Sunday as it should be a good one.

Ogunbawale and Young are one helluva combination to watch. One of the most enjoyable in the country, if not the most enjoyable.
