The Dons start the game 4/5 on 3-pointers to pull again of the Cardinal. They have missed their last 2 3-pts but still lead 19-12 at the end of the 1st quarter.

Stanford offense looks bad, real bad. Like their feet are mired in mud and they think heaving up long balls is easier than doing anything else.

midway thru the second, both teams shooting around 25% with SF getting more shots up. (and remember this USF is San Francisco not South Florida). I can't remember when our offense looked this ugly.

At least the Dons have cooled down from behind the arc. After starting 4/5, they have only hit 1 of their last 10 from 3.

true. I haven't heard when she'll be back but it can't be too soon.

I just got home from watching my niece play HS JV...and the shooting here is similar to that. Crying or Very sad

It's down to a 4-point deficit at the half and SF can no longer score on Stanford, so things will turn out fine tonight. Take solace in that!

yeah I assumed Tara would right the ship at halftime, but if we struggle against this level of team, I shudder to think what will happen in league. Will this be the year teams like WSU or Arizona beat us. [gulp] It just looks like we're capable of playing pretty well...sometimes...and othertimes looking like a mid major.

But I'm also proud of Molly for getting her players to play up to the competition. They've done a good job.

My thought was- this is easily the worst team I've ever seen at Stanford. They actually looked like an RPI 130 team. I was aware McPhee was on the bench, but holy shiest was it brutal.

Much to my amazement (and joy) they covered the 19.5-pt spread.

But it looks like a long row to hoe on the farm this year. (sorry) Smile
