Searching for Ms. (or Mr.) Goodnews ...

Question 1: I've heard that the legal costs associated with transferring a franchise amount to about $500,000, which I find hard to believe -- but of course I have no clue. Let's say it's $250,000 ... how much more does James Dolan want for the team? Or to put it another way, would he be willing to simply give it away, or would he rather take nothing than not get what he thought it was worth?

Question 2: What is the franchise worth? Let's say you were rich, and you got rich by being a smart businessperson. You have $10 million available for this kind of investment. How much would you be willing to pay Dolan for the Liberty?

Question 3: Have the names of any potential buyers in New York surfaced?

Question 4: Are there any potential buyers that anyone knows of anywhere in North America?

Rosie O’Donnell expressed somewhat of an interest on Twitter.

I'm also curious what kind of potential ownership group(s) are currently interested. And if Dolan will pull the plug if something can't be worked out right away.

Seems like he may be waiting to find a buyer. I seem to recall that the Sparks laid everybody off shortly after their announcement.
