| This is the first game of a wild weekend of women's basketball in Vegas, and it could be one of the most competitive. It seems ticket sales are poor for the event based on the tickets I was able to get today. Hopefully they will be able to draw 1000 for the opening day.

33-30 DePaul at the half. Game is being played in front of 150 fans without a scoreboard. There is a video screen at each end that has the score for the team at that end only, and I can only make out one of them. It appears there may be a scoreboard but it isn't turned on. Maybe thely need at least 250 fans to turn it on.
As for the basketball DePaul started off sluggishly but took control in the second quarter. They aren't as dynamic as some of Bruno's teams, but I think they will be the equal of Marquette in the Big East.

This is at the Mandalay Slay casino, right? Doesn't sound too promising as a venue for the untrademarked Las Vegas Stars. |
