(Since no one else has, I will).
JMU lost to St. Joseph's at home, 73-66, and looked pretty raggedy in doing so. Logan Reynolds was on the bench with an undisclosed minor injury and her spark was sorely missed. Lexie Barrier seemed to have left her shot in Tennessee. Smalls (22 pts, 9 rebs), Merritt, and Butler all had decent games but couldn't carry the team. Sarah Veillieux shot the lights out for the Hawks.

St. Joe's has the dumbest mascot I've ever seen.

Marquette won their home opener over Loyola Maryland 83-63. They had five players in double figures and redshirt frosh Lauren Van Kleunen is a pleasant surprise to this fan in the first couple games. Next up is Tennessee on Thanksgiving in Cancun.

they seem to be pretty quiet about what's up with her.

Martin sustained a leg injury during USA trials this summer. They hope to have her back for XII play.

Michigan State won Bigly over College of Charleston but Taya Reiner was out with hamstring issues. They have a trap game against Detroit before Saturday's matchup with UCONN in Eugene.

The Quse don't Hartford today 75-63. I like the Oranges new look team especially pg Tiana Mangakahia an Aussie who transferred in via JUCo but hasn't played the past two seasons. He's piecemealed a team together from transfers and through international circuit. Competition thus far has been pretty fluffy.

I expected a quicker turnaround from Stephanie.

Thanks. I hadn't heard any of that. Godspeed, girl!

WIU beats Illinois 77-67. Necks overcome 19-0 Illini run in 2nd Qtr. Nice bounceback win after the heartbreaker on Sat vs. NIU.

Listening to the guys at NCCentral calling the OrSU game - it's hilarious.
"Even a blind beaver can find an acorn sometime"
One guy "The Ducks are..."
Two guy " You can't call them the Ducks. On the West Coast it's a big deal. They're the Beavers"
One guy "Well I'll call them the Ducks a few times to make them mad"

OrSU is winning easily and Grymek looks like an allstar against midgets.

Sounds like they were trying to be a cloud in someone's rainbow, but if they are trying to make the game fun when they are getting blown out all power to them. I enjoy colorful announcers that don't take themselves too seriously.

Stetson wins 85-71 over Florida despite being outscored by the Gators by 7 in the 4th quarter. Could be a long season in Gainesville.

Michigan beats in-state Oakland 78-69. Thome (29 on 10/14) and Flaherty (26 on 8/17) were big for the Wolverines, but they need contributions from someone else when they play the better teams.

Why are you this way? Someone makes an honest mistake and you react so negatively. I don't understand your motivation.

They were quite fun. At one point they discussed shorts length and how everybody now wants the knee length baggy ones, but some of them then roll them up so they are less in the way. So then #2 says maybe they should go back to Michael Jordan style shorts. And #1 says 'no way, I wore those shorts. Just try to imagine me in a speedo' and they both had a good laugh. But they did talk encouragingly about their team and tried to find positive things to say about whatever improvements they saw. It was entertaining without being too obnoxious.

Kelly Koshuta (JMU) doesn't roll her shorts, but tucks the bottoms into her spandex so they look like bloomers. She's a big girl and it does look kinda silly..... Very Happy

But then what do you get if you cross a Duck with a Beaver? You get a platypus.

I just don't think Cal is top 25 material. Manhattan is really not a very good team (ranked 388th by Massey, who predicted a 79-44 Cal victory). Cal only led 47-40 at the half and with 2 minutes left in the game, they only lead by 13, 78-65.

Cal goes on a 9-1 run in the final 2 minutes to win 87-66.
