I wonder what strategy TV will employ to make the CT offense stumble.

I first read this as what strategy the television will employ to make the mighty Huskies stumble. I wonder if the Huskies shoot well in Black and White, or maybe we can make the TV fizzy on their end of the court and they won't be able to sink anything. Twisted Evil

Try the moving basket strategy?

Try the muffet mcgraw strategy! Injure all your players and use all star replacements without any penalty! Or just the not showing up strategy...either would be better than todays massacre!

Are you guys using the shellacking the Buckeyes handed out Friday to handicap today's game? TV probably spent all of 10 mins over the summer and up until tipoff on that one. Today's showdown is the game she's spent hours, days, weeks and eventually several months on to come up with a strategy to fuck UConn up.

Much like the last CT game, I see a closer contest than most seem to expect.

Couldn't agree more.

Remember the last game? After knocking off UConn the Tree got killed at home by Texas.

Stanford is young but deep and talented - it's a matter of putting it all together. Not looking great to start, but this weekend in Columbus will only help them. And they have Vanderveer running the show - could easily win Pac 12 if they get rolling.

I agree. It's a brutal start to the season but so long as they don't get their heads down (and Tara won't let them) I think they'll turn out fine later on.

Dangerfield playing the anti-Montgunnery role in the 1st period with 13pts (5-6, 3-3) and 3 steals. That won't hurt my fantasy team. Very Happy

To start the season off with two drubbings, I'm not sure Stanford belongs in the Top 25. Maybe 20 at best.

I think the promise is in their more athletic freshmen/sophomores - Carrington, Williams, Dodson, Fingall - the older players seem...slow, i.e. Sniezek and I guess Johnson must be good at rebounding? Painful to watch her shoot layups and pass. But even McPhee plays "slow." If the youngins put it together, they could be scary good by March.

Define "scary good". I believe SU will be leaps and bounds better than now, but scary good?

If If If. Possibly but I doubt that "easily" will come into being. The Pac 12 is far to strong with too many good teams to allow that to happen. Even if they do get it together they will have a fight to compete at the top.

Granted it is UConn blowing them out, but Ohio isn't Uconn and they also blew them out. Still it was expected for them to have a slow start under their circumstances. New players and new system. Their main problem is that they just do not seem to have athletic individual players. That type of team is all to reliant on system execution to get their shots.

Stanford right now looks like a D2 team competing against UConn. Stanford this year is a big question mark. They were only rated high due to the Tara's or the Schools reputation. It was downright silly for them to be rated so high not only nationally but also in the Pac 12. Right now from what I have seen Oregon would also run them out of the gym.
