Those of us who followed the Comets will never forget their back to back to back to back titles! No other team will ever do that.

A little off topic from the original thread, but I didn't want to start a new one.

So I was watching some throwback WNBA games on the Classic NBA Games YouTube Channel. (Check them out, they have some good games from over the years!) I came across the 2003 WNBA Playoffs and the announcers in every game for the Detroit Shock clamored about Swin Cash's talent. Mark Jones called her the future face of the league for small forwards.

Statically speaking, Swin never matched her all around output and scoring average of 2003 with 2004 being the closest. I remember feeling like she just kind of faded into the background even with some decent seasons later on, she wasn't the "star" caliber that she once was. It's ironic saying that since she won a few All-Star MVPs to boot! Anyways, she is a player who has made a great contribution to the game with her work in the game after including becoming an assistant with the Pelicans. She has been a vocal advocate for the women's game as well! Part of me wishes that the announcers' predictions back then game to fruition. Did she have a stellar career and I'm not giving enough credit?

Cash blew out her knee in 2004 and was never the same afterwards.

There was good reason to rave about her talent. She was the leading scorer and rebounder on the 2001-02 UConn Huskies, still called by many the greatest college team that ever played.

If cash would have been in any other class than Catch she would have gotten my vote for ROY. She was fun to watch pre-injury !

Yeah, considering the vast majority of her pro career came after the injury, she's generally overrated as a pro player. After the injury she was a useful player for a long time but not really any kind of star (and the numbers only reinforce that). It's a shame she never really got it back.
