That list is kind of baffling.

It is a really good list. In fact, there was *only one* person on the list of fifty whose accomplishments do not merit inclusion.
(See if anyone can guess)

JJ Watt would be the obvious one. How is he on the list instead of Lawrence Taylor?

My guess is the same reason Mike Tyson isn't on this list. Or Floyd Mayweather.

They also left out athletes who are widely believed to be steroid users. No Barry Bonds, for example.
Ray Leonard as the only boxer is also puzzling.

It's also wildly biased towards Americans and American sports, as these things invariably are when US publications put them together. |

Cheryl Miller
Why her: Because Miller—a three-time national player of the year at USC—was the best athlete, by far, in a family that also contains former MLB catcher Darrell and ex-NBA assassin (and Hall of Famer) Reggie.
Amazing true fact: Once scored 105 points in a high school game.
By the way: Cheryl's in the Hall of Fame, too. |

For me, Allen Iverson. Not a good shooter. Not a good team player.

There is no argument to be made for Aaron Rodgers over Peyton Manning, for example.
